Summer of Sport Class H – Long Reining
Class H Long Reining —Open to All
The only equipment allowed is two long reins attached to a halter or headcollar (protective boots are permitted). You may use a driving saddle to keep the reins off the ground. Please be safety aware as you drive through the obstacles ensuring the reins do not wrap around any equipment. You may drive directly from behind or to one side but you must not come past the hind end of the horse, ie drive from beside him. The driver is advised to wear gloves, safety boots and helmet. Marks are given as in normal Horse Agility Competitions but a feel that retains a contact with the horse’s head through the reins is allowed, tension or resistance caused through excessive pressure will lose marks.
