My name is Ellen and I am a professional equine trainer Horse Agility Accredited Trainer. I’ve been Mule and Donkey League World Champion for the last 3 years and also overall main league Reserve World Champion and Liberty Trophy Reserve World Champion in 2021. I work using subtle body language and positive reinforcement to improve communication between equine and handler and aim to promote a kinder way of handling in the equine world.
Horse Agility is a fantastic, fun sport which heavily focuses on good horsemanship and the relationship between human and equine. In Horse Agility you navigate a series of obstacles and manoeuvres working as a partnership with your equine.
On this course you will learn all about the different obstacles, how to complete them correctly and how to teach and guide the horse. You will learn how to communicate with the horse you are working with, develop good leading and groundwork skills and work up to completing a full course. All levels of experience welcome and catered for; whether this is something completely new to try or whether you compete in Horse Agility already and are looking to improve your scores – and everyone in between! The sessions will be fun and relaxed for both horse and human with an approachable, knowledgeable trainer. Come along for an enjoyable time of Horse Agility in a stunning location with rescue horses – what’s not to like!
Course information :- arrive on the 26th in time for welcome dinner, 27th and 28th agility course with time to enjoy facilities, 29th leaving day. You can arrive early or stay on after the course for a longer relaxing holiday with bitless and barefoot riding in the stunning mountain trails available @ 30 euros per hour. non participating friends or partners welcome if sharing a room -250 euros per person for 3 nights with meals. Single room supplement, if you don’t want to share a room 150 euros. Extra nights with meals = 80 euros if sharing a room or 130 euros if single room .All dietary requirements catered for including vegan, just tell us what you like to eat!
*payment and cancellation policy – due to possible problems with Corona virus , our cancellation terms will be more lenient than usual. If you cancel due to Covid with more than 4 weeks notice you can have a full refund, if less than 4 weeks you can have a credit for alternative dates. To secure your place we ask for a 20% deposit with the balance 4 weeks before your holiday.
*LOCALS – If you live close enough to attend on a daily basis, the price per person including light lunch and refreshments on both days and use of horse during the two days of the course will be 280 euros and if you want to stay the night in between the course days the price will be 360 euros for a shared room , including evening meal and breakfast
(locals can of course stay for the whole 3 nights of the course, with a reduction on the total price to 500 euros as no airport transfers needed) *Single room supplement 50 euros per night
